Today I want to share the lovely day that I had on Thursday with two fabulous bloggy friends, Ardyth and Virgina!
I have had to pleasure of meeting both of these incredibly talented ladies before, Virginia last spring and Ardyth last week. Toronto is a big city, I live to the east of it, Ardyth lives in the middle and Virginia live to the west of the city. On a good traffic day, which rarely happens in TO, I can be to Ardyth's house is 35 minutes. Yesterday morning because of a highway closure during rush hour it took me three times that to get to Ardyth's. Ardyth has a beautiful home and I got the tour and to see her fabulous and organized craft space.
We hoped in the car and headed off to Virginia's but there was a very bad accident west of the city and we were not on the road long before it came to a stand still. So Ardyth and I had a bit of an adventure as we got off the highway and decided we could find our way there using the backroads, well three hours later we finally got to Virginia's!
We were greeted at Virginia's gorgeous home by Virginia and Dr. John who were the most gracious hosts. Virginia made the most delicious lunch starting with her amazing spring rolls, followed by a pasta and shrimp stir fry and then her delicious peach pie. Yes it is even better than it looks. After lunch we had a chance to visit Virginia's craft room and check out where she makes her beautiful creations. After we went to the St. Jacob's Farmer Market to pick up some peaches to take home.
While we were out Ardyth ran into an old friend so Virginia and I seized the opportunity to go into a scrapbook store to browse and give Ardyth some time to catch up. Before we left Virginia's to head home we had a chance to meet Virginia's son David, a really nice young man. Tonight as I write this post I am still full and my stomach hurts from laughing too much. These are two really fun and funny ladies to hang out with, we will definitely do this again.
What is a post without a card, I made this thank you card for a good friend and it is going out in the post tomorrow morning. I hope you have a great weekend.
