I haven't done a Make It Monday in a while but I wanted to try this technique because the results look so pretty. This week's technique was coloured vellum flowers. I knew that I wanted to try it out with the Peony images from Pretty Peonies. The only vellum I have has little flecks of gold in it, so I hope it doesn't look like dirt or ink on the flowers. Embossing was a bit hot on the fingers but the results were amazing. Now after I had trouble lining up the Peony on the die cut, then colouring both flowers I realized that I had the die upside down. I didn't have any more vellum so therefore my card ends up truly unique. LOL I also wanted to tie this into this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to have something go over the edge. Here is my card.
Cardstock: White (Neena Solar White) Sweet Blush(Papertrey Ink)
Specialty Paper: Vellum
Stamps: Pretty Peonies, Stylish Sentiments Birthday (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Hibisucus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Winter Wisteria, Royal Velvet, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Acocado,
True Black (Papertrey Inc.)
Dies: Hexagon Cover Plate (Papertrey Ink) Sentiment Flag (Lil' Inkers)
other: foam tape, white embossing powder

ReplyDeleteohh MY!! This is soooo gorgeous, Tracey! The white embossed flowers on vellum with color added are just something else. Great choice in having the vellum hang over the edge since you can see through it. Thanks for joining the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge this week!
