Happy April Fools Day!
My friend Suzanne is hosting a fun April Fool's Blog Hop today to celebrate.
It is a chance for us to look back at our old card making styles and laugh at ourselves.
For me it wasn't hard to go back to the beginning of my blogging career and find a card that I can't believe I ever posted. When I look at this I see a sloppy bow, die embossing with ragged edges and the bottom of the focal panel punched with a pretty punch and then the corners rounded? What was I thinking? I like to think that my style has evolved more since then, but this is such fun!

OK, I'll give you 'not perfect', but it's definitely not 'ugly'! lol! This is fun!

ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the punched and rounded part until you pointed it out...I am almost afraid to go back and look at my worst...which ONE will I choose?

ReplyDeleteAwwwww, now it's not THAT bad, poor card. ;-) Maybe not your proudest moment, but the colors and polka dots are fantastic! You all are so brave to do this! I'd have to spend hours combing through my 'ugly' cards just to pick one...

This doesn't have your current perfect polish, granted, but I can still see your Tracey style written all over it in terms of the layout and the colors. TFS and Happy April Fool's Day!!

ReplyDeleteOh, Tracey, it's not ugly! Your work is so pristine and perfect that you see those little imperfections but most people would never notice. This might be considered more cute than beautiful but definitely not ugly!

ReplyDeletePunched edges are STILL hard for me...thank goodness for dies nowadays LOL! At least this card has a design and sweet colors! And I love me a polka dotted bow even if it is floating, giggle. Such a fun hop today!
