Back with some more homework from Pattern Play, the lesson on Day 4 was about altering your patterned paper to give it a new look. Some of the techniques introduced were the use of Glossy Accents, Distress Stickles and Stain, using enamel, etc. This is totally out of my comfort zone! I love the look of all of the those techniques, but on someone else's card! LOL
However, homework is homework and I tackled them. I am also linking this card up to the Simon Says Easter/Spring challenge.
The techniques I used for my card were based on Jennifer McGuire's instructions on how to make a shaped card and make it stand up. I used Glossy Accents, Distress Stickles and a white gel pen on my card.
Cardstock: White , Summer Sunrise (Papertrey Ink)
Patterned Paper: Bright Side (Lawn Fawn)
Stamps: Flower Friend (Simon Says Stamps)
Ink: True Black (Papertrey Ink)
Dies: Classic Circles and Scalloped Circles (Spellbinders)
other: Glossy Accents, Mustard Seed Distress Stickles (Ranger), uniball white white gel pen (Signo), foam tape
Good for you for using all 3 techniques! It turned out lovely!
