DD#27 & RS#36 and 300 th Post

I can't believe that this marks my 300th post!

Another late night post for Dynamic Duos & RetroSketches. A fun Christmas colour palette from Dynamic Duos and a fabulous sketch based on a card by one of my card making superheroes, Suzanne Dahlberg of The Card Yard.

I first embossed my card base with the snowflakes embossing folder from Cuttlebug, I love the deep impression it makes.  I translated this weeks colours as Papertrey's Scarlet Jewel and New Leaf.  The mistletoe die cut was clear embossed and adhered with foam dots for dimension. Searched high and low for a tiny jingle bell (that I know I have) to add some interest so you will have to just image it tucked at the knot of the bow  ;)  I used my Lil' Inkers Sentiment Flag die for my sentiment, I can't get enough of it these days.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock:  White, New Leaf
Patterned paper: Scarlet Jewel Paper Pack
Stamps: Mistletoe & Holly (PTI) sweet Home (Neat & Tangled)
Ink:  VersaMark (Tsukineko) Scarlet Jewel (PTI)
Dies: Mistletoe & Holly, Edgers #3 (PTI) Sentiment Flag (Lil' Inkers)
other: clear embossing powder, Scarlet Jewel ribbon

  3. So clean, yet festive. Love this, Tracey! Great idea to combine baker's twine with ribbon. When I use them it's always one or the other.

  8. Great card, and interpretation of the sketch. Your bow is sweet, and I can imagine that jingle bell, once you find it. That IP is perfect for this card.

  19. Congrats on 300 posts! ;-) What a great milestone.

I love your card. It's such a perfect interpretation for the sketch AND the colors. (You need to teach bow-tying lessons, BTW.) The background embossing is a great touch. Nice job!
