Papertrey Ink Blog Hop - October & CFC75


This month it is all about breaking out of your comfort zone and trying out some non-traditional color schemes for a holiday card or tag!  There were six non-traditional colour palettes to choose from to springboard our creativity.  I chose this palette to create some non-traditional coloured Christmas tags:






I am also linking this up to CAS-ual Fridays Over the Edge Challenge.



All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: White, Harvest Gold, Spring Moss, Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry
Patterned Paper:  Simply Chartreuse, Melon Berry Paper Packs
Stamps: Snow Globe, Tiny Treats Christmas
Ink:  Sring Moss, True Black (PTI) Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Dies: Limitless Layers Circles, Doily Details, Love Lives Here, Snow Globe, Tag Sale #4 (PTI) Sentiment Flag (Lil' Inkers)
Other:   foam dots, jute

    These are darling! I love how you used the colors! I used this same combo and it was hard but I think they make for fun non-trad colors! Great job!!

    These are so adorable. Kudos to you for making that challenging color scheme work so well. I love how you used that stitched sentiment flag, too. Filing that one away for myself.

    Love the tags,Tracey ! The colors are great ! I have been using that same tag for weeks for my Christmas tags. I love all the pretty layers you added to these,they are going to be so cute on gifts.

    This was one colour scheme that really had me thinking ... and scratching my head!! (hehe) But you've made such a delightful set of tags with a very different colour scheme. I especially love the look of the Christmas trees and snowmen. So sweet!!
