RS #11 & CFC #52

Happy Mother's Day everyone, I hope you all had a fabulous day with your families.  My daughter and I enjoyed our Mother's Day tea with my Mom and my Mother-in-law.  It was a beautiful spring day and we were able to have our tea, scones and butter tarts outside in the gazebo.  I was able to slip into my studio and make a card for RetroSketches #11 and CAS-ual Friday's #52.  I was so inspired by Laurie Wilson's card based on Tracy Ercole's sketch that I knew I had to create a cheery birthday card that would satisfy both challenges.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: White, Lemon Tart, Spring Rain, Green LeafHarveset Gold, Sweet Blush
Stamps: Tweet Talk, Heart 2 Heart #2
Ink: Hibiscus Burst (PTI), Tuxedo Black Memento (Tsukineko)
Dies: Tweet Talk, Heart 2 Heart #2, Banner Borders (PTI), Clouds (L'il Inkers)
other: foam dots

  2. This card is just too dang cute! Sounds like you had a fabulous day today too, what better way to spend the day than to have tea with family and some time to be creative. Your card is so tweet, I have been resisting this set but between you and Joyce and all of your wonderful creations I may just have to get one for myself.

Mmm, yum! Scones and tea, and I'm intrigued by a butter tart? What sort of a cake is it? Sounds yummy!
