Mother's Day Tea & He's Back

Today I am sharing an invitation that I made and mailed out to my two Mom's.  Every year my daughter and I have my Mother and Mother-in-Law to our house for tea and scones.  It is an opportunity to bring out the china tea cups and the lace tablecloth.  I feel so fortunate that I have these two wonderful ladies in my life and that I am able to keep this tradition.  It is one my daughter plans on carrying on as an adult.

All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:

Cardstock: White, Lavender Moon, Winter Wisteria
Stamps: Tea for Two Additions
Ink: Lavender Moon, Winter Wisteria (PTI), Tuxedo Black memento (Tsukeneko)
Dies: Parisian lace Doily, Banner Builders, Tea for Two, Mat Stack 4, Mat Stack 4 Layerz, Edgers #4
other: foam dots

Good news last week, my son is back to normal.  His spleen has shrunk back down and tucked behind his rib cage where it should be and his liver levels are normal.  With a grin ear to ear he is back on the rugby field after an agonizing 6 weeks.  He got a cleat in the back of his head Monday and came home with a goose egg and a cut, but still grinning.  A windy cold day, but that is spring rugby in Ontario. Now if we can get through the next four months without injury it's all good.

  2. How wonderful that your son is back to health and is doing the sport he loves so well. I love your invitation to tea. What a wonderful tradition, and how nice that both of your mothers live close enough to come over for an afternoon. Aren't you just loving that Winter Wisteria? I think it is the perfect color for a tea party.

  14. Awww, what a delightful tradition for you and your family! :-) And I love the invitations - so delicate and dainty and perfect for the occasion. And I am so glad to hear that your son is feeling so much better! Great photos of him, too. ;-) My hubby LOVES rugby. For the past few weeks, every morning when I come out of the shower, he and my son have been sitting at the computer watching internet videos of old rugby games. I love to see them sitting together and chatting about it.

Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog. I appreciate it! Hope you're doing well, too. ;-)
