This week ColourQ Challenge was to use this palette to create anything...but a card. So I took the opportunity to use my new PTI Shape Up Snowman dies to create an ornament for our Christmas Tree. What a wonderful colour palette. I translated this weeks colours into PTI's Terra Cotta, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides and Kraft. I also used a technique introduced my Erin Lincoln to create my own chipboard. The snowman body was die cut 6 times from an Apple Jacks cereal box and then 2 additional pieces of white ardstock. Then it was and glued together to create a nice thick chipboard snowman. The hat was made from 2 die cut cereal and two die cute white. The arms were made from 2 die cut Kraft. I tried to make the arms from cereal boxes but the multiple layers ended up looking messy, so I pared it back to two. Pink chalk was used for the rosy cheeks.
All Supplies are from Papertrey Ink unless otherwise noted:
Cardstock: Terra Cotta, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides, Kraft
Stamps: Shape it Up Snowman
Ink: Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Black (Memento)
Dies: Shape it Up Snowman, Holly Jolly (Lil' Inkers)
Other: white acrylic paint,Aqua Mist Ribbon, chalk, white pompom
