Hi there and wishing you a very Happy Tuesday! I am so excited to be a part of Picket Fence Studios First Anniversary Celebation! For the entire month of May they are celebrating their birthday and what a party they are having!
ETA - Winner #61 (Miriam Prantner)
I am so honored to be one of their guest during the celebrations. Today is my day to post a project here on my blog and to offer a giveaway! More information about my special discount code and my giveaway later in the post! If you haven't heard about Picket Fence Studios or haven't seen their fun and unique designs you are in for a real treat today. Not only do they create that most fabulous stamps and dies but they are also the company that sells the Life Changing Blender Brushes that honestly will rock your world when it comes to ink blending! I have a card and video to share with you today so let's get started...
I used the beautifully designed Peony Bouquet Stamp Set for the flowers on my card and the Thank You Stamp Set for my sentiment.
I started out by masking, stamping and white embossing the blooms from the stamp set onto a panel a Bristol Smooth cardstock. I stamped and embossed each bloom one at a time. After the embossing was done I used the Life Changing Blender Brushes to sponge Distress Oxide Inks on to my panel overlapping the colours slightly to create a rainbow blend.
I flicked some clean water on to the panel and picked up some of the colour with a paper towel. Once the panel was completely dried I stamped and clear embossed the 'thank you' sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. The entire panel was popped up with foam tape and I finished it off with a few clear sparkling sequins!

ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous card Tracey and I would love to have the set of Life Changing brushes, they look so easy to use and blend with.
ReplyDeleteRight now on my desk is a "family celebrations board" that my DIL & I made for my parents a few years ago. If you are not familiar with this, it is a wooden board that reads "Family Celebrations" and below that has the first letters of the 12 months of the year. Under each month there is a disc with each family members name and day of their birth for each month. My parents had 8 children so including in laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren, there are about 75 dics hanging from the board (similar to charms). I also added red hearts for Anniversary dates and white hearts to remember the dates of the family members that have passed. Unfortunately, that is why it is on my desk as it needs to be updated for the latter...
love the color blending - great technique:)
ReplyDeleteI am currently working on my father's day card so I have my stamps and comic markers strewn across my desk - lol!!
