Jillibean Soup Designer Challenge - Shape Shakers

Hello, I have a Designer's Challenge post up on the Jillibean Soup Bean Talk blog today showing some fun ways that you can use the Jillibean Soup Shake Shakers Inserts to make some fun and creative things for parties or even home decor.

I have a shower coming up in the next few weeks for a baby boy, so I made a couple items for the outdoor event. First off a shaker centrepiece.

This was so easy to make, I started off by making three shakers using the star and cloud Shape Shaker Inserts using the co-coordinating dies along with papers from Souper Celebration.  Each of the shakers was filled with some of the shape Shape Shaker Fillers along with some clear sequins and seed beads. The shakers were attached to decorative straws and set aside. The centrepiece is a small mason jar with some smooch stones in the bottom. I wrapped for jute twine around the top of the jar and added a white Jewelry Tag with Alphabet Stickers on it to spell boy that was slipped onto the jute with a mini paperclip. To arrange it I put fresh Babies Breath into the centre and then set the straw shakers in place.

The next item is a Baby Boy Rattle, this could be used as an embellishment on a table or on a parcel as a gift tag.

I created the rattle using two of the circle Shaper Shaker Inserts. I filled it with blue sequins, clear sequins, seed beads and wood veneers from the Souper Celebration collection. I carefully flattened the tip of a decorative straw and sandwiched it between the two circle Shaper Shaker Inserts. I tied a white tulle bow at the top of the straw and then clipped the cute 'best' paper clip from the Smile Wood Veneer Clothespins.

Next project is a banner that you could use for a party or as room decor. Mine is going to go into my craft room.

I will admit I had a heck of a time getting a good photo of this without shadows, but trust me it is super cute. I created the sun using Hardy Hodgepodge papers and the My Sunshine clear stamp along with Orange sequins and wood veneers from Bowl of Dreams. Two clouds were die cut with the clouds die and all clipped on to jute twine with mini paper clips.

I hope I inspired you today to make something pretty using the Jillibean Shape Shakers Inserts and embellishments. Making shakers is SO easy with them. Have a fabulous day!
