colourQ #193 and CFC104 and Simon Says Stamps Masculine/Father's Day and Die Cut Divas

Happy Tuesday and time for this week's colourQ challenge.
I just love this week's colours inspired by a fun and funky hula shirt.

I stamped my sentiment in three parts.  I masked off the bottom portion to stamp the top in black, then I masked the top to stamp the bottom 'Hero' with Hawaiian Shores and then I stamped the mid portion on a piece of cardstock and fussy cut the banner out of it.  The whole sentiment was die cut with a sitched mat and then double matted with Island Indigo and Certainly Celery.  I was really pleased how these colours popped off the white card base.

I am also submiting this card to CAS-ual Friday's Banners & Flags, Simon Says Stamps Masculine/Father's Day and Die Cut Diva's challenges.

We hope that you come a play with us this week at the colourQ and while you are there make sure to visit the blogs of the rest of the Design Team to see their fabulous creations.

Don't you love it when your kids use your toys for school projects?
Brooklyn used PTI Stars, Just the Ticket stamps and dies, Lil' Inkers Polaroid frame, and my Silhouette to do her History ISU. This is how I justify the money I spend.  LOL

Cardstock:  White (Papertrey Ink) Island Indigo, Certainly Celery (Stampin' Up)
Stamps: Man of the Hour (Waltzingmouse)
Ink: Real Red (Stampin' Up) Hawaiian Shores (Papertrey Ink) Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Dies: Stitched Mats, Sentiment Flag (Lil' Inkers)

Don't tell but my investment in my Cricut has been primarily for letters for poster boards just like this; hardly gets any other use!

Love your card...the sentiment is awesome with the variety of colors!

This is a perfect Father's Day card. I love how you got so many colors onto that one sentiment, and the flags are absolutely perfect. I also love it when my crafty supplies are used for a school project. It definitely justifies all the shopping.

What a wonderful sentiment for your Father's Day card Tracey, great job! LOL at the use of your supplies. My hubby teases as says "I think I'll get into all your stuff and make something." I say "Sure have fun, but clean up after yourself." He say..."Never mind"!!!

forgot to mention about Brooklyn's board...isn't that why you buy stamping supplies??? You never know when your children will need them and you always need to be prepared. She did an amazing job!
